Strange Things – Awards

I am the worst at these, that is I tend to procrastinate, ignore, fail to respond and ultimately fail to even thank my fellow bloggers who are kind enough to recognize my efforts. I don’t know why this is the case, here are some possible reasons;

  • Fear of exposing myself, many awards require responding to personal questions.
  • Simple laziness, unlike so many of my blogging heroes I only write when the mood strikes and I have something to say.
  • Stunned into silence, truly that anyone would think to award me or recognize my attempts stuns me into silence

My answer to all this is first to be Grateful, I truly am.

The other answer is to try for a bit organization and definition. Really that is what this Page is all about. From here forward I will try very hard to respond to awards by organizing them and posting responses to them here. I am not an ingrate, I am profoundly grateful when others respond to something I have written. From now on I simply have to show it.

This was a really nice one and to see the entry, read here:  https://valentinelogar.com/2012/04/12/versatile-blogger/

I am so grateful when people think I am doing something worthwhile. I am not the most prolific of bloggers, so it is nice that people continue to keep up with me. Read this entry here: https://valentinelogar.com/2012/04/14/abc-award/

I wasn’t so much awarded this one as claimed it, still it was fun! https://valentinelogar.com/2012/04/21/sunshine-days/

  1. I’m still a fan 🙂

  2. I’ve nominated you for the Community of Bloggers Award. The logo can be obtained at: http://blackbutterfly7.wordpress.com/2014/11/02/community-of-bloggers-award/ Even if you cannot accept, know that you are appreciated.

    Valentine,

I am a fan of your blog and have nominated you for the Liebster Award. You can get the details here: http://ohmsweetohmdotme.wordpress.com/2013/04/03/the-liebster-award/

  4. Wonder about these. People keep nominating me for awards, but I’m one of fifteen, from one of fifteen (225 nominees) and pass on to fifteen more (3350, not including the other fourteen people who passed on to fifteen (14 times 3350…I don’t have a calculator) and so on…for how many generations. When everybody is one, what is one? Tend to just say a “thanks” and carry on with whatever.
    Later….

  5. Well deserved awards. Cheers to you!

  6. You deserve all the kudos, recognition and applause you crazy chick! 🙂

  7. I have a few invisible awards that require gratitude. I’m trying to be better about this. It is nice when people notice you. Congratulations. Your writing is so worthy of note.

    • I love your writing as well. I often forget these and then do them all at once. I am bad that way. You’re right it is nice when people notice, I just wish they didn’t come with things attached like answering questions. 😉

  8. Congrats on the awards. Display with pride and don’t fret the requirements. 🙂

This is great. I love it.
    Perfectly honest. And perfectly grateful.

  10. Oh Val! I had no idea you had received so many awards!….All very well deserved too!
You don’t have to blog by any time clock. You blog when you want to blog. Some of us have blogs for different reasons, where they may have a schedule
I blog as I paint, okay, I paint faster than I blog them or no one would have a chance to comment on them. Then I get a dry spell from time to time and have nothing. Then sometimes I just get bummed out about stuff and just crawl in a shell. Hey, we’re human being here. You blog when you feel like it as you’ve been doing.
    I love you!
    Hugs xx

    • I know and I try to not beat myself over the head and about the shoulders. The Broken Chains has been a tough one so it has taken some time (in between). I will likely write more to it, but not for awhile I think.

For a while I think I will return to social observation, marital spats (fun ones) and my normal sarcasm. These are easier and not so wrenching.

      I love you too!!

      XXX Hugs Back

  11. Congratulations Val, for garnering so many awards – all well deserved.

Blogging should be fun and like all fun-activities, done as and when we feel like it. Take your time gal, and enjoy 🙂

  12. Congrats Val 🙂
sometimes plain laziness does stop one from writing 🙂

and then sometimes life just throws too many things your way and you are so damn busy picking things up….
i am going through this incredible exhausting depressing phase…sometimes even with all the positivity one can muster the things still beat you down..

    • You and I Soma are on the same Train right now, I am have a time with depression as well. I just want to pick up a big stick and beat it into a corner but that doesn’t seem to be working.

We will both come out of it. Promise!!

  13. Congrats on all of your awards! 😀

Btw I just recently found out that my posts may not be showing up in my subscribers’ WordPress Readers if they had subscribed before I changed my domain name (which I did 3 weeks ago). So I am now having to send this message to every subscriber before that time if they could kindly unsubscribe & resubscribe to my blog, by just unclicking and clicking on the “Following” button at the top of my page http://www.yourdailydoseblog.com

I hate to ask, but I really appreciate your continued readership. Thank you so much and sorry for the inconvenience!!
