Catching me unaware
Unprepared for you

Skin on skin
Tracing my curves
Dawn brightens the shadows
Desire engulfs us

Muscles pulled taut
Expectancy raises hopes and trembles
Breath caught, held

Sue, thank you. Truly, finally letting my poetry be read by others was a release and that others have liked it, well it has made my spirit soar and my heart expand. I think I kept it hidden for a very long while, this part of me not realizing I didn’t need to.
