Jaffee reclined against the hard back of his throne, avoiding the spindles and rails depicting his heroic ascent to power. He surveyed the scene of last night’s debauchery. The sycophants belly crawled across the floor, their whines white noise rising to thunder.
Jaffee polished his sword surveying what he had won by the strength of his arm. Should he desire it, he could demand any of these fools lay down so he could walk across them.
“Jeff, young man turn off that damned video game and clean your room!”
“Aw, Mom not now.”
“My God, you’re a delusional child.”

Oh Mom, interrupting again! The end gave me a laugh – thanks
Welcome. This one, straight out of the historical mom closet. 😉
I love Jeff’s alter ego. Probably every boy at one point or another wishes he were a Jaffee of sorts. Then, of course, reality hits. Gave me quite a chuckle.
I suspect we all did, teenagers today simply get to express them in video games.
Glad this one gave a chuckle, I enjoyed writing it.
Have a really nice weekend Val 🙂 😉

Chuckle chuckle, I may have had one of those delusional children .. as my Son would have at one time spent hours in his room fighting demons! 🙂 I think he still uses his thumbs as his avenging sword! 🙂 Smiles..
Gosh Val, nice to be here and feel the laughter 🙂
I think Sue that opposing thumbs thing, well it might need to be rethought 😉
Thanks, I am glad you could laugh at this one.
Fab Flash!
Thanks Rachael…I do hope you are good today.
OMG, teenagers. Of course they’re delusional. Ha ha ha. Terrific choice, Valentine. Didn’t see that coming. 😀
Fun right? Don’t you love the lovely teens of today, their opportunities for escapism?
And their wild imaginings? 😉
Dreams of grandeur – until Mom appeared 😦
Sad isn’t it? Don’t you wonder though, maybe if mom played with him she could beat him into submission (in virtual reality mind you). 😉
Good to return with a Flash in the Pan. The video game angle with mom surprised me … well done!
I suspect this one comes from my own history with my own two sons. I remember well the days of begging, pleading and then shaking my head in defeat.
That a way!
Actually I feel most can share the charge of delusional when we sit in front of a TV screen. I wonder if most of us don’t pick out a character and identify with them, particularly if they are getting what they want?
I suppose that might be true Ian. I have myself now and then lost myself to a character, though usually it is in a book not a video game or television show. Just my personal choice I guess. 🙂
Ha ha – love this 🙂
Aren’t teenagers terrible? Full of themselves, full of imagination and terrible.
:0
Terribly loveable! 🙂
Now that’s what I call an authentic Flash in the Pan,
especially with that well chosen picture, one can almost
see his sword in that one 🙂 Absolutely brilliant 🙂
Or was it the Bobby’s Helmet? 😉 lmao
Andro xxxx
Thought I would update the picture I use, that is one of the original flashers from Great Britian, can’t remember his name. That is the Bobby’s helmet, indeed. 😉
Val
Yes I think he lives up my street 🙂 Actually there used to be a neighbour that streaked on a weekend, thrilling some of the ladies and annoying others 😦 I guess he was just a big show off at heart, and a plonker for sure 🙂 lmao
Have a wonderful rest of evening Val 🙂

Delusional, indeed. Maybe even delusional, at best. Hard to believe it’s now considered “winter.” Where I’m from in the US, they haven’t even had their first frost. However, makes the holidays seem closer, doesn’t it?
Hugs from Ecuador,
Kathy
That it does. I am down in Hoston today, I certainly miss home (Houston). A wonderful rain storm and in the 80’s. Love this weather. Dallas is in the 90’s. Winter indeed, only a name change in the seasons.
Hope you are beginning to feel better.
