Winter Flash – Level

“Are you stupid?”

“I don’t think so; no I am fairly certain I am not stupid.”

Jarrell stared across the fence at Ric, then at the fence itself. Slowly his face turned lobster red, “If you aren’t stupid you must be incompetent”.

“What are you talking about, I don’t see the problem”.

Jarrell pointed at the pickets, each a different height, “The fence is supposed to be level man, what were you thinking?”

“Creative interpretation.”

  5. Very clever!

  6. Your reproduction of the Mona Lisa is remarkable but pray tell, why that smudge on her chin?

    Smudge? Oh, that – it’s a birthmark.

Yes, creative cover up – Oops! Creative interpretation 🙂

  7. What great use of the prompt, Valentine! Being on “level” is indeed up to interpretation. Way too overrated, I say. 🙂

    • Thank you. I like to think there are many walking around ready to not follow the norm, instead to offer their interpretations. I have a son like this, use to drive me insane, now not so much.

  8. Have to agree with him….level is boring! 😀

Ha – love it, Valentine. And sincerely, I wouldn’t mind a fence like that.

I recommended your blog to someone today – List of X. They have a post up how Obamacare will ruin America and one thing was with Obamacare people will start having ALL AND ANY ailments treated and eventually everyone’s immune system will be nonfunctioning & the whole country will be weaker (or to the effect of). I don’t know if they were tongue in cheek, now I think of it…. ugh, how dumb of me if they were!! But I said you’re a political joint too and they might interested to visit. Hope they do. You know, expand horizons…

    Cheers, Valentine 🙂

    • I know X, he and I read each other. Love him, his wit is stunningly good.

Glad you liked this one. I am not at all certain I could get away with a fence like this in my neighborhood but it might be fun to try.

  10. He’s an artist, pass no judgement!

  11. Level isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Hell, I’m not even level-headed. Great flash, Val! How are things leveling out for you this week?

    Hugs from Ecuador,

    • I am with you my friend, level doesn’t have all that much to offer many of us. Things this week? The temp has dropped and I wasn’t at all prepared, I am finding I am most certainly a warm weather girl 😉

Love back from Houston this week

  12. Arrh poor Man, He is just having mid-life moment, we all get those ups and downs days..
Lovely to see your sense of humour Val, Enjoy the rest of your week
    Hugs Sue x

  13. ‘Creative interpretation’ knocked me on my butt. Ric may not be smart but he has the best answer. I want to shake him but can’t because, really, he can’t measure. Ha-ha-ha.

    I feel like I’m eavesdropping.

  14. Gray Dawster says:
